We’re so glad you enjoyed this tempeh bacon, Kerri! You could experiment with increasing the temperature to 425 F and baking for less time, as needed, for crispier bacon. Hope that helps!

I marinated the pieces for 30 minutes, and I left out the cayenne, but I’m going to include it next time. Also, I always steam tempeh for 10 minutes or so to eliminate some of the bitterness, plus it soaks up marinades better that way. I sliced it all first before I steamed it, and I had no issues with it crumbling. My only quibble is that it didn’t crisp up, so I may try cooking it longer next time. Thanks for such a tasty recipe. This is way better than any tempeh bacon I’ve had at restaurants!
