Hi Ann, We’re so glad you enjoy this recipe and have been making it for years! Thank you for letting us know! We haven’t tried freezing this one, but we think it could work to freeze the frosting and cupcakes separately. We just wouldn’t recommend freezing after frosting the cupcakes. Hope that helps!

Hi Malinda, it creates the vegan “buttermilk” and helps activate the baking soda, but you can sub lemon juice or omit it!
