If you want your house to smell like banana bread without actually baking banana bread, make this granola.

This granola is pretty rad, and provides yet another way to use up overripe bananas; serious score in my book.

The ingredients you need are likely in your pantry RIGHT THIS SECOND. WHOA. EVEN the wet ingredients: coconut oil, agave nectar or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a big ol’ ripe banana.

Are you guys ready for something spicy?
Something healthy and savory and delicious?
Good, I have just the thing.
Let’s make Jalapeño Hummus, yo!

This hummus* is inspired by all things yellow and green. Also, by my love of spicy food and Mexican-inspired flavors (like avocado, cilantro, cumin, and lime).

My dad raised me right on jalapeños and black pepper blanketing everything. Literally, a blanket of pepper.

Thankfully, I’ve also persuaded John to jump on the spice train.

Summer Tomato & Cantaloupe Salad https://minimalistbaker.com/summer-tomato-cantaloupe-salad/ https://minimalistbaker.com/summer-tomato-cantaloupe-salad/#comments Thu, 09 Jun 2016 12:00:50 +0000 https://minimalistbaker.com/?p=20367 Summer Tomato & Cantaloupe Salad

It’s about that time of year for something fresh, summery, and light to take with you on the go.

I have just the thing. Shall we?

I’ve had straight-up cantaloupe (good).
I’ve had tomato, cucumber, onion salad (also good).
But I’ve never had the two combined – until now.

I’m so happy I tried this incredibly refreshing combination. It screams warm weather and utilizes two simple dressings that come together in no time at all.

Are you a green tea fan?

I’ve been cutting back on coffee lately. I find it rather acidic on my stomach, and in my old age, it now makes me jittery (true story).

But on mornings that I need a little pick-me-up, I love a warm cup of green tea.

What is Matcha?

Matcha is a powdered green tea containing 137 times more antioxidants than brewed green tea (like, whoa). Both come from the tea plant (camellia sinensis), but with matcha, the entire leaf is consumed.
